temps in the 70s, sunny, absolutely perfect day, so i rode out of the office and went to play with some kings of liter-class bikes for lunch. The 910, or rather : "TEH MAC TEN" showed them whatsup, haha! :yo:
And after my 5th try adjusting the shocks, i can say its finally compliant, not comfortable enough, but acceptable, so i guess i can save the 2k on the rear shock for something like the MC 981cc conversion!! :drummer:

i had my shop adjust it and it still took 5 times to get it OK, not good nor perfect. Its been explained to me numerous times that its the short wheelbase and the inherit stiff chassis of the bike that gives it a harsh ride on simi-bad roads no matter how u adjust the shocks. I hear rear ohlins will smooth things out though. Dont give up if u are bouncing off ur seat, i still get that on anything but glass smooth roads, just keep playing with the rebound and preload, atleast thats what my tech tells me.

that must have been a great day
nice pictures, too

i wish i could find a way to make my rear shock more compliant
my knowledge of suspension adjustment STILL stinks

mid-corner ripples in the road can throw my 180# body right off the seat
it's VERY unnerving
