I feel your pain.
Got a nail in the rear tire on my Turismo with less than 500 miles.
I plugged it and used the tire for another 3000 miles until it was worn out.
Front tyre is close to 4 years old now, maybe even 5. So better to change both tyres at once.
I was thinking of getting Pirelli Corsa 2/3 or indeed Michelin power RS. Heard good reviews of that tyre aswell.
Got my eye on Bridgestone battlax S21 aswell. Depends on what dealer can order.
Heard and seen good things about that tyre. + boys from 44teeth use them aswell. They are positive aswell about it.
Ordered a tyre repair kit that should arrive tomorrow. Then a phonecall to dealer for tyre replacement and brake fluid replacement.
Rear brake is gone and rear wheel is impossible to get lose without propper brake. So that first.
I have used S21 on my Panigale, 675R and have them on my F3 stock wheels.. for the street they are more than enough tire and manage to get some decent mileage as well.
Have Q3+ on my BST wheels and they seem to be quite sticky for street riding.
Made an appointment with dealer. Bridgestone's S21 are going to be fitted.
Wet weather performance should be decent aswell, the stock Pirelli diablo rosso corsa were pretty slippery in the 2 times I rode them in the wet.
S21's are fitted.
1: rolling resistance is much smoother.
2: tyre warms up quick.
3: actual compound itself is way WAY softer than Pirelli diablo corsa rosso.
I can litteraly press in the edge of tyre. Whereas with Pirellis barely did.
Tyres are made in 20th week of 2019.
Early/mid may.
440,- total costs of tyre change + brake fluid change.
Now that brakes have new fluid and no air.
Im 100% sure, when my bike was delivered new it had air in the system.
I thought it was the feeling between lever and caliper. Soft grab and then feeling.
Now its more aggressive harder bite with instant feeling.
Not sure how to explain. Its a matter of feeling. Y'all probably know what I mean.
*This was my first bike I purchased. So I didnt know better.
And the awful Honda cbr500 lesson bike had no bite, no feel, no nothing. Shit brake system.
Now I know how it should feel.
