Is there an "I paid this much for my Brutale" Thread?

Hi everyone. Am narrowing down and thinking very seriously about a new Brutale 800 with EAS.

Seems it's a pretty rare machine, so doesn't look like they're giving them away.

Anybody in the know as far as things like Invoice pricing, any Manufacturer Incentives?? As a cheapskate, I'm usually good at finding these but am having a hardtime.

Anyone care to share what they paid also?

Also if anyone has a link to a maintenance schedule somewhere I can't find one.

I'm in the US.

Thanks!

Well Count, welcome to the world of MV Agusta. They are rare bikes and there isn't much margin on price until years after the debut.

If you are truly a cheapskate, then, perhaps you should wait until a nice used unit comes on the market and someone else has taken the hit on depreciation and done all the modifications that you would probably do anyway.
I haven't found any incentives and doubt we ever will. I also am considering the same bike or a 848SF. Maintenance will be at least 7500 mile intervals so no big deal. Waiting a year will be tuff to get a used one, thats no fun. You only live once, go for it.

Thank you and well said. Figured as much with the bikes being not as mainstream. Of course it's the one that speaks to my soul. I guess that's the whole point of bikes anyway!

I was originally thinking used for the same reason, but it looks like most of the used ones are selling for about the same if not more.

You guys are not making this easy. :)
$13k with comfort seat out the door in California. Don't expect anyone to cut a good deal, there's not much margin. They really make their money on service. $218 for oil change and filter.

Don't buy anything used as it was most likely flogged and abused if they are getting rid of it this soon. Buy one you can properly break in and take good care of.

Where in CA did you get one for that price?

13k OTD with taxes or just prep/handling fees?
Correction folks, sorry, just looked at my papers. It was $13,500 cash OTD and that included the comfort seat. That includes taxes, prep, everything. The base MSRP is $11,988 so I paid pretty close to retail. It was an OK deal but nothing to scream about.
Don't expect maintenance interval for Brutale800 to be 7500 miles. It is 6000 km.
It is narrow margin, true. I got 400 $ below the advertised rate, but that is as much as they could go down with the price.
And yes, it's worth every coin, good "package" for the money, and it feels and handles like no other bike. Can't compare it to ducati, can't compare it to japanese, really, its in class of its own.
Speaking of maintenance.
Is there any online service data for the B3 800?
I paid $1000 down and financed $1200 out the door for a 2014 with eas. It's a fantastic bike got it 2 weeks ago and it's in shop for its first break in service which is costing me about $280. I'm not sure which post I saw it in but I did see a link for the owners manual which has the maintenance schedule in it.
If you really want it you will have to pay the price!
Otherwise stick with the mass produced bikes if money is the issue.
For me, my B3 is excellent bang for bucks so no problem bending over and paying sticker price.

Is this accurate? That's only 3700 miles! What kind of maintenance needs to be done at these intervals?

I haven't purchased the 800 yet, just wondering what I should expect.

Thanks!

Every 3800 miles its a basic service, oil and filter change and the usual service check/adjustment of moving parts etc then every 7500 miles its a valve clearance check, replace the plugs, filters, chain and sprockets on top.
Speaking of maintenance, Donsy has maintenance manuals, for almost all MVs. There's one for Brutale 800 (or B3 how it'll be called on that page). On this link:

Every 6000Km's is a service, it swings between "minor" and "major"

1k break in
6k minor (oil / filter, checks)
12k major (magic stuff that I have no idea about)

Now OP, i paid 17k out the door in Australia. I think 15k of that was bike the rest were toys, Stand and new Jacket and boots.
I have a b3 675 id be willing to part ways with. She has 1200 miles service was done, only sliders were added and kept on the battery tender. And i broke it in never over 4500-5000 rpms for the first 500ish miles. Maps were updated.
Haha yeah I wish It was $1200... I think $13000 is a very fair price for the bike you get
