I have always loved the Matte black look of the SPR. very nice indeed.:naughty:Just answered this a little while back, but since no one wants to believe it and are so insistant on being correct, it prompted me to dig up a couple photos.
hb88xx is correct, picture of std 750 F4 was taken at MV Factory in '02. The picture of me on the SPR was taken in Italy while riding in the Dolomitten in '03. Had the great pleasure, thanks to a very cool individual, to test ride the very first available SPR. Yes, the one that Cathcart rode and tested and then wrote about in the mags.
Lets hope the pics post thru, or I'll try again.
Enjoy....

Indeed. And the matte black Brutales are another matte color altogether.fyi: the spr and nero are not the same color/texture. can't tell in the photo, but it's obvious up close. the spr is more like a chalk board--very very dark gray, or a slightly faded black. the nero is a true black, but matte in finish. both scratch very easily...
I think there were 36 mono and 36 bi for the US (72 total).photos of mine in the gallery as well--i was told that they made 600 for the US market: 300 mono and 300 bi
