I need to transport a motorbike from St Albans, Hertfordshire to Brandenburg in Germany..

I've had a few quotes from James Cargo, Bike Movers UK and waiting on a quote from SOS Motorcycle Recovery and Chas Mortimer in Kent...

Have any of you UK guys arranged shipment of a bike to Europe and can give any advice on who to use..

Alternatively, is there anyone on the forum who is willing and can transport a bike to Germany ?

Any help and advice is much appreciated.

Cheers
John

You can also try TNT Express special services. I know that they sometimes do transport for the Yamaha MotoGP team and importers from several brands.

Ask them - they are specialists for UK form here:

http://stahlross-transporte.de/

They bring a lot of Harleys to Germany.

Unfortunately they have no hp in English. Try to phone or write an Email (in English).

Did you try http://www.uship.com/uk/?=

Jochen
Thanks Jochen... I will pass on this information to my friend in Germany and get him to give them a ring call for a quote..

Cheers

That would be greatly appreciated Joe

Just a suggestion........:)
Very good suggestion Bomber Harris, but our friends in Europe wouldn't approve of a re-run of the Dambusters raids... No, no, no Sir..

I spoke to Chas this morning and he's offered me a Don Corleone deal that I can't refuse..

Chas was busy yesterday up at the Staffordshire Classic bike show with Bonhams and only got back this morning.. Hence the slow reply..

Thanks to everybody who's sent me emails and PM's with very useful advice and contact information.. I’ve make notes for the future..

Much appreciated everyone.

John

Cheers for the offer TB, but I don't think these old classic two strokes would make it as far as Folkestone, let alone Berlin... They need TLC in their latter years and are more for poodling around town, than constant cruising down the autobahn..
