Hey guys.
I was just wondering if there are any Police Officers on this forum who ride.
I just wanted to ask them some questions or suggestions about some private matter.

If you're a Police Officer can you please PM me or refer me to one?

I don't want to disclose anything over the forum.

It's nothing illegal.

Thank you guys.

NO, you don't want to add to the "most spectacular speeding ticket" thread if it's still in the planning stages.

this method requires posting, but you can make a user name no one from here would recognize.

sign up at pnwriders.com. there is an 'ask an officer' section with i think at least 5 leo's that answer questions. its WA ID and OR cops but most laws should translate to other states.

my name is sicc there was well, pm me with a link to your thread :)

i read the thread, i dont think you will have any luck in getting one of the LEO's to search for you. the main purpose of that section is to answer questions relating to RCW's (WA and other states), interpreting law, how to handle questionable situations, how officers might react, etc.

youd probably be better off going thru a private service to get results. i thought you might have had questions about a particular law or scenario.

ive pm'd one of the leo's in there before asking for a police report, they did not repsond. i understand why they didnt.

Yeah I figured that...but it's not anything illegal anyway.
I've been told by a few officers that said a local DMV can find all the info out for me. I didn't know that.. :D

integrity issue

Hi all, its basically an integrity issue, Officers can only make use of the databases in Official Capacity only. They may only search VIN #'s DL #'s if the reason for the search relates directly to their investigation. How would you like an officer to search for your vehicles VIN number if somebody asked him or her to do it as a favor? As another member stated there are private companies that can investigate these types of inquiries albiet for a fee! To ask an Officer to do these types of favors puts them in an uncomfortable place, let them do their job and hopefully preserve the peace.
