Question to the experts that know for sure or have the best idea / opinion.

It’s sort of a hypothetical question and I want to verify what I am assuming. I am looking at buying a set of the MV Agusta OL4 silencers to go along with the Arrow manifold I already have. The question I have is with the difference between the 10-12 models and the 13+ there’s a change in the heal guards. Would it be just a matter of just changing out the right side rear-set to the earlier version so to retain the earlier single heal guard?

It seems simple enough but without being home to look at the bike and make a couple calls to the dealer, am I on the right track with this simple change or am I under thinking it? I suppose I could go to an aftermarket set of rear-sets but I’d like to keep the OEMs in place for now.

Mounting points will be welded on. May make a different heel guard difficult or unsightly.

That is an interesting question......, the top photo doesn't show any heel guard or fixing points on the silencers other than the one on the rear set itself .
If this is the case and you are happy with this (and the older rear set mounting lugs line up correctly on the later frame plate) then I think it should work.

As Ed is pointing out though...., the two additional (older heel guards/ heat shields) that are visible on the silencers in the bottom photo cannot be fitted as there is no provision for them on the silencers in the top photo.
And the mounting points for them in the centre photo will be in a different location due to how that very large and unsightly OEM heel guard/ heat shield is mounted.

Thanks guys, it confirms what I was assuming. Going with the OL4 silencers and only using the single heal guard is alright for me.

If it's as simple as installing an older right side rear set to get what I need then so be it! It keeps a factory finish / appearance with no cobbling anything together or being forced to go with aftermarket rear sets in order to get a decent heal guard.

Ok, quick update to my original question and direction of things.

I bought a set of OEM adjustable rear-sets from an earlier Brutale and have an MV Agusta Corse "OL4" Full Exhaust coming from EvolutionBike. When I am home again, get everything installed I'll post pictures and details.

It'll be a couple months.....

Got these. I think $135 delivered was a fair price.
