I ride my Brutale on Bumpy roads, plus I'm thinking of bringing her to the track to really stretch out her legs. To that end, I'm planning a group buy for a steering damper.

At first, I didn't include Scotts/Ohlins on my list becuase it ain't as pretty. However, it seems to be a quality damper with high and low speed settings. Now, I might change my mind.

Additionally, I will like to know how Scotts and Ohlins got together on this. Who makes this? Scotts or Ohlins? Will the damper be engraved with a Scotts or Ohlins logo? Do enlighten me. Thank you.

The Ohlins rotary was designed for dirt and sold as such. I don't know how, but somehow Scott was able to get branding and distribution for the US street market.

I think Ohlins linear dampers, which were designed for the road, are far superior, but plenty of faster guys than me like the Scotts.
