This almost seems like or could be Marquez looking for Honda to let him go In response to Marquez and other Honda riders stating Marquez is winning races despite the short commings of the RCV213V. A HONDA representative called a press conference and said the 2019 MotoGP race wins where because of the strengths of the Honda RCV213V and could have been won by any of the Capable riders employed By HRC/Honda . Since MM is winning Championships on Honda Machinery in a Row, the public could see it like Honda is World Champion because of Marquez is riding it.
This is something what the Honda Bosses never liked.
They want Honda to be seen as the Title Winner and with it having the best Motorcycle, no matter who is riding it.
This exact situation happened with Rossi in the early Years of this Millennium.
The Result was that Rossi left Honda and won the Title with Yamaha the very next Year, proofing that it was the Rider who made the difference.

Thanks for the info Haupti. So your saying this situation is just handwriting on the wall that Marquez is off looking at other factory options . I don't blame him as Honda is taking Marquez skills for granted. Haupti, Alex Marquez is reported to be scouted by Pramac Ducati. That hasn't seemed to work out and Crutchlow is already on a factory 2019 RCV213V. I wish this would get ironed out officially .

I could care less what happens to Honda. They are their own enemy. It is apparent to a blind man that you have a problem when only one guy on the bike, Marquez is capable of winning consistently on the bike and is capable of winning a championship.

Is that necessarily a 'Honda' problem though, or clear proof that Marquez is a superior rider?

We saw Doohan outclass both Creville and Gibernau.

With Yamaha, we saw Rossi outclass Ben Spies and Colin Edwards.

There must come a stage when these great riders are credited for their skills and ability:wink2:

I certainly credit Marquez with being a great rider but if something happens to him you are done. I would not want to be in charge of the program or the team manager knowing that I was only capable of winning consistently with only one rider.
