On Andrews subject of the "those who contribute and those who dont." It appears most of "real america" would starve to death without those liberal areas.

Over 70% of the production of the US GDP voted for Biden:

Chuck, I read that link. Its a bullshit conclusion. Even if the data itself wasnt suspect (which it is) the idea that they have some sort of predictor for large scale mail-in ballot fraud is BS on its face seeing as how we have no evidence of such a thing happening EVER in the history of our modern election system.

There is no way that was presented by a "scientist." Maybe a mathematician but even then I suspect its more like someone who got a hold of some graphic software. An ANONYMOUS source using some proprietary "Edison" data source supposedly run against a CSV that they are worried someone will take down. This all screams, "lets get stupid people riled up with ANOTHER conspiracy theory."

"They inherently have a different D to R signature than the rest of the ballots quite possibly bc additional ballots were added to the batch, either through backdating or ballot manufacturing or software tampering. This of this being kind of analogous to carbon-14 dating, but for ballot batch authenticity. " If they were a real scientist they would have to hunt down one of those pay-for-play journals to get it published and that kind of conclusion would fail peer review. Its all this asinine theory that ALL mail in ballots get shuffled in the mail. As if mail from urban GA is getting mixed with stuff down in Macon. Its also completely ignoring the confounding variable of drop-boxes. Mail is localized and those drop-boxes are hyperlocalized. You're all still losing your mind that you thought you had won because the republicans sued to prevent ballots from being counted early and you had to wake up after an overnight count of the urban counties (which leaned heavily dem).

You old people understand science as well as you understand new media, which is basically not at all. Its become clear on ANY politicized subject like COVID, climate, etc.

And honestly I didn't read your paragraphs about nothing. You were supposed to be backing up this asinine claim that none of the biden ballots had any down-ballot choices and you moved the goalpost to the first thing you can find.

Oh, and you guys should probably update your conspiracy theory. Trump has moved on from mail in ballots and is now blaming Dominion. It might have something to do with every single claim they have made in court getting thrown out because they cant even be bothered to put more effort into their filing and claims than chuck did.

Blaming the ghost in the machine is a bit harder to easily just toss aside since its nebulous. Next theyll have to blame god.

Oh and one more thing. This conspiracy is on the "moon landing hoax" levels of stupid because it wasnt an isolated election. Like the moon landing hoax question of "why would foreign enemies like Russia not call us out on it?" comes with this: "If our elections were systemically rigged by our GOP state government who are also somehow libs in disguise then why the hell did they go through all of this trouble and NOT go ahead and win the down-ballot races too?" The GOP gained seats in the house and is likely going to retain the senate. They also let a few Qanon dipshits in. Youd think they would want to use their massive fraud machine to do that.

Or maybe I can put my anonymous scientist hat on and come to the conclusion that its likely just that traditionally fiscally conservative/socially liberal republicans/centrists like myself just got fed up with the biggest POS we have ever had in the white house.

Ed, et al, please cite the source that says this scientist’s data has been refuted or discarded.
Well....The Governments own Intelligence Agencies have stated the election was secure. I believe the statement was something to the effect "this was the most secure election ever".
Anyway, Georgia's Republican Secretary of State will have completed the audit of the election here in another day, and that will be that.
Well, that and Georgia's vote doesn't matter anyway, as Trump loses even with GA's electoral college votes.
Have any federal courts even accepted a law suit from Trump yet? And these are mostly judges he an Mitch appointed. No evidence.

Come on guys, let it go. He lost. Time to move on.

Ed, somewhere back there I originally posted "President Elect Biden".... I have let it go. It is what it is and time will tell. The rest of the discussion is for entertainment value. Well, except for those who get their tits in a tither.

Well it was his fault in the first place! Just ask a Trump supporter.

Lou Holtz Nails It !!
The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.
What Obama offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another for his own political benefit. That’s what socialists offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow. Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.
“Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.”
Lou Holtz
Leo “Lou” Holtz (born January 6, 1937) is a retired American football coach, and active sportscaster, author, and motivational speaker.
Bloody hell Andrew, you go from not wanting to participate to full on participation with voom and gusto. I am glad, and hope this means that you will not raise the 'toxic thread for trolls' nonsense again.

I am not sure how you came to some of the conclusion that you have, and I will not assume, but the expression 'none are so blind as those who will not see' comes to mind.

I do not especially like using graphs and charts and scientific reports myself, they take to long to read, I think a stroll though most American cities and towns would lead anyone to the conclusion that there are very many Americans who, no matter how hard they try, would have to get very lucky indeed to be able to get ahead. As I recall, the US has one of the highest rates of children living in poverty amongst the developed nations. You seem to be suggesting that it is their fault because they did not get off their arses'. Sorry, asses'.

Meanwhile, uptown, it is open slather for the greedy and rich. All that chaos from the GFC resulted in how many of those responsible for the situation going to gaol, or for that matter, even losing their bonuses? They in fact all still have jobs, in the same industry, except for a few scapegoats. So much money they do not know what to do with it all. But still they want tax relief.

I saw a doco recently about a basic income, essentially a payment that every citizen gets. There is a version of it in place in Alasaka? Apparently the US has looked at it a few times, and as I recall the Reagan administration knocked the most recent iteration on the head. As I remember, a 0.45% tax on all financial transactions in the USA would pay every one, not matter how old or how wealthy, about $25,000 USD a year. Don't quote me, it was a few weeks ago.

Now I can hear the cynics saying that it is a disincentive to work, that no one would ever want to do anything. Well according to the doco or at least my recollection of it, there are a number of Euro counties that are keen on the idea, supported by some big business, and there have been a number of trials in various counties. It seems that the surety of a guaranteed income frees people up to actually do more meaningful things, like develop new skills and create new industries. In the places were the basic income was trialed, productivity went up. Up. People worked more. If you are interested, I can find out the name of the doco. Of course it would be opposed in the US, as the jobs that pay poverty level wages would not have to be endured by those who at the mo have no choice. But who will clean my pool?

Some of your comments, most notably this one:

It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility. It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office. It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.

suggest they you have a very unrealistic perception on the state of current affairs. I don't think there is a country in the world, with the possible exception of some of the despots or neo-despots, that is not relieved that Trump is gone, because he was not only spiteful and vindictive, but grossly incompetent and corrupt. The biggest con that has ever been perpetrated on the American public, some of whom are so gullible that it defies the imagination, is the 'draining the swamp' rhetoric. The swamp has never been less drained. In fact, there is now so much swamp that the mosquitoes no longer want to work.

Some people are lazy, some are unlucky, or stupid, some have a disability, or have just had a hard road. They are our neighbours, or the people who serve us, someone's family and friends, and everyone deserves dignity and housing and access to water, food and a life that is decent, not just the lucky and wealthy. In theory, that is precisely what the antediluvian constitution that some like to wave about says, but in practice, it is another thing.

It is said that you can tell a lot about a society/country by how they treat the disenfranchised, the poor, the sick, and the most disadvantaged. To make a good society, i.e. an equal society, it usually means that the most wealthy have to contribute more. Poor darlings. I can only afford one new helicopter this year.

To more or less quote Jello Biafara 'If you are too dumb and selfish to pay taxes, for things like schools and healthcare, then do not be surprised if the uneducated time bombs that you have created come back to rob you.'

^^^ Especially the last line. We saw in NZ in around 1992, the "Mother Of All Budgets" A right Wing austerity budget. We saw prison numbers rise drastically in the 10 years following, they stopped Gov sponsored apprenticeships, led to shortage of tradesmen leaky homes, and a massive shortage of middle age tradesmen today, we saw mass lay offs, and we are still feeling the effects today, things like Cave Creek, the Gov sacked the inspectors/overseers of work, we later saw our worst coal mining disaster, they sacked all but a few mining inspectors. Generations of children grew up with unemployed parents. This is the legacy of austere right wing Gov. Trumps legacy will be lasting, the rich got richer, the poor got poor, the prisons are already overflowing with the most jailed nation in the western world, a million new covid cases in a record 7 days. hospitals overflowing, heading towards 300,000 covid deaths and an ecconomy on the brink of recession. Street marches and protests on a scale not seen since the Vietnam war. Trumps legacy is hate and its tearing the US apart. Its sad to see as we love America and much of its people.

Its a hand held kitchen tool used to peel potatoes and carrots. Its in the picture next to the pizza cutter and spatula.
I wondered exactly what this strange carrot peeler weapon was also, haha, you have a fine sense of humour.

I do also wonder however, if you might be onto something, assuming that the incoming US el Presidnete does not persist with the US' obsession with persecuting the Cubans for daring to reject the American dream.

A fast flash boat, a shortage of ice, the frozen useful kind, not the nasty shit, in Cuba, which is just across the briny from you. You could run ice, the frozen useful kind, not the nasty shit, to Cuba, and exchange it for fruit, or cigars. Use first resort kitchen untensils to make Pina Coladas on the way back? I do not even expect a cut of the profits for this brilliant idea.

I note, with a great deal of mirth, that the Einstein's of the right have now turned on each other, and this part is just wonderful, who said Americans do not get irony, Fox News. One wonders at what point the actual facts might be able to saturate the tiny feverish imaginations of those who ignore all the Covid deaths, the undermining of their apparently precious democratic rights, just to cater to the bloated ego of a more or less rich reality TV star. Taking being a poor loser to new and yet unreached heights.

So a Trump appointee (head of CISA) says the election was the most secure in US history. So Trump sacks him 🙄 either Trump is a terrible judge of character and capability ( so many Trump appointees sacked)or he is corrupt and wants to steal the election because he lost.
You know what they say, fish rot from the head....
