You funny mang. I have an airsoft with a working counter but it operates by the pellet breaking a light beam to register a count on the readout. Im sure there is a way to rig up something on this one, but it shoots real bullets and it would take more effort than Im willing to put in.
Why would you have a machine gun in your boat?, what do you hunt with that gun?

So, your "real bullet" Pulse rifle --- I presume it is a 10 mm caliber? .. ---

You are killing me with you knowledge! The movie guns were built with 3 main weapons: Full auto Thompson TM1, Spas 12 and a Remmington 870 Wingmaster. It took me 4 years to collect all the parts/ and guns. I built it while living in California so I had to make some consessions to keep it legal IE 16" barrel instead of the 12" Thompson and I had to have a gunsmith make the 870 inert because a 'Keymaster' is illegial in California. Now that I live in a free state, Im looking into getting tax stamps for the Thompson and 870 so they can be converted into Short Barrel Rifles. But yea, it shoots real .45ACP with almost no recoil because the thing is all metal and weighs about 20lbs. Another thing I had to change was the charging handle for a longer one to clear the shrouds. Internally I used a lighter weight recoil spring which also aided in easier racking. Cant hit the broad side of a barn, but its always the coolest gun at the range.

That’s for the next civil war?

A Machine gun is full auto, this is a semi auto Beowulf .50cal. The round was designed to take out engine blocks......so boat hunting I guess? Its the last resort after the carrot peeler......nobody expects a carrot peeler.

So for a mere mortal that does not own a gun (or want too) what is a carrot peeler?

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas. The America that works and the America that doesn’t. The America that contributes and the America that doesn’t. It’s not the haves and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts. Some people do their duty as Americans, obey the law, support themselves, contribute to society and others don’t. That’s the divide in America .
It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility. It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office. It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.
That’s not invective, that’s truth, and it’s about time someone said it.
The politics of envy was on proud display a couple weeks ago when President Obama pledged the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.” He noted that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just. That is the rationale of thievery.
The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you. Vote Democrat. That is the philosophy that produced Detroit.
It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America. It conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense because it ends up not benefiting the people who support it, but a betrayal.
The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victim-hood and anger instead of ability and hope. The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful–seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices. Because, by and large, income variations in society are a result of different choices leading to different consequences.
Those who choose wisely and responsibly have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure.
Success and failure usually manifest themselves in personal and family income. You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college – and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education.
You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course; you have them within a marriage and life is apt to take another course. Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take.
My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome, but, our lives also have had an in equality of effort. While my doctor went to college and then devoted his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant. He made a choice, I made a choice, and our choices led us to different outcomes. His outcome pays a lot better than mine. Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth? No, it means we are both free men in a free society where free choices lead to different outcomes.
It is not inequality Barack Obama intends to take away, it is freedom. The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail. There is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure. The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy. Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing. Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and short sighted decisions.
Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort.
The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.”
Obama would turn that upside down. Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society. Entitlement will replace effort as the key to upward mobility in American society if Barack Obama gets his way. He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive to foster equality through mediocrity. He and his party speak of two Americas, and their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other. America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts.
It is a false philosophy to say one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.
What Obama offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another for his own political benefit. That’s what socialists offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow. Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.
“Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.”

I want to race motorcycles but do not have the time or money to invest into practice and getting better, so they should just change the rules so I can do it. I mean I should not have to qualify and I want a trophy no matter where I finish. I mean that is only fair.

Obama inherited a mess from Bush junior, an economy in free fall, and he turned it around, Trump inherited an economy on the up, and in a growth period, With out Covid i would have thought under Trump with the good work Obama had done, seen even more growth. But Trump made one hell of a mess with Covid, denial to the blame game. Now your economy is flat, you have over 150k new covid cases per day, 1000s a day dieing and over 60,000 in acute hospital care, your debt has spiralled in a time of prosperity and when debt should have reduced. Somewhere between a socialist system and a capitalist system is the way forward, you like us need both political directions, too far one way or the other causes malssive social problems. Too many have nots you are going to see the rise of social problems, so there has to be a balance, when .1 percent of the population owns 75% of the wealth, then you have a social disaster, and thats what we are seeing in the US. Reducing the already wealthy's tax and adding that to the debt is a disaster for the next Gov, Biden has an economy on the brink of collapse, Borrowing and increasing even more debt is on the cards, but theres going to need to be a serious look at the wealthy's tax take, you see how Trump only paid $750 tax in 2 of the last ten years. This is the problem, make the rich pay a fair share, spread the wealth over a larger base and many of your social problems will disappear.

Oh don't worry Andrew.
Now with Kamala Harris as president everything will be perfect!
She is fully committed to 'Equality of Outcomes'.

You will all be Moto GP racers and you will all be first!

VIVA TOTALITARIANISM!

P.S.: Any variable, nuanced approach to the concept fails miserably. It either dilutes to a point of hypocritical irrelevance or natural complexity (and beauty) arises violently through the cracks with catastrophic consequences. Always accompanied by soul crushing bureaucracy. A terrible, misanthropic idea that passes as a moralistically noble pursuit.
Same afflictions in Europe to a varying degree.

Ryan, when I read something interesting, not necessarily in the current vein of "truth", I occasionally post it up for intelligent discussion by those who might know something I don't...and there are a lot of those people. My response to Ed ws one of those posts based on something I had just read, but I had not captured the source. It was provocative and had pictures and arrows and circles on the photos showing just their chosen point. Ed's response was thoughtful and full of insight from experience that I don't have. Your response was "prove it". Would you please disprove it with those sources you love?

You come in and call Bullshit without a shred of anything other than your personal conviction and "expertise". What qualifies you to be that expert? (Serious question and I am but a simple High School Graduate with 60 years experience at life.) In other words, why should anyone listen to you? Is it a simple "because they are of like mind" and that makes them right in your eyes? Please cite your resources as you have asked me to do.

Now, on the subject I breached, I finally ran across a similar article without the downstream vote question being referenced. This was where my investigation began at that time and the "single cast vote" conundrum was read during my web search for other evidence. I thought it interesting and now I can not find that source. Alas.

Following is the discussion of an "anonymous scientist". This seems to be the only way "facts" can be presented these days as people are shouted down and illegitimized by people with opposing beliefs. I have and ex-wife like that. She believes that if you shout loud enough and long enough that the subject becomes truth.

I'd like to think I am a bit deeper and more "considerate" (in the archaic meaning of showing careful thought). I like lively intelligent discussion.

This thread is mostly anything but; it does show flashes of brilliance.

I have a hard time with people who prejudge my leanings. It is fairly obvious to me that Mr. Stewart has no real idea of who I am or how I lean...and I am not going to explain that either. I will say this though: The candidates I was most intrigued by, and probably would have done the country well, were off the ballot long before any vote was cast. When you get down to the actual ballot, there are but two choices (usually) and when neither candidate is representative of what one would see as a President of a powerful country, well, those decisions suck...or you can shirk the responsibility and hope someone else shoulder the tough decisions.

I voted. That's all you need to know about me.

This is my issue with this whole GPR thread. A discussion held face to face with the benefit of visual cues has a much more defined understanding than any written correspondence. Hell, forbid that someone see my little grin, or the myrth in my eyes, when I post something that is known to be controversial...with or without sources.

Now, to the subject at hand:

Please discuss...intelligently with countering resources if you have an opinion. It's what Mr. Stewart demands.

The Great Barrington Declaration

Since it is a heavily political-cised matter/subject, on top of the health reality of course, I will post it here.
Mainstream media, the political system, officialdom and industrial complex provocatively ignore it or vehemently attack it.
The Science is once more settled it seems. Moreover the path from science to political action and social transformation, is presented as if irrefutably, directly derived from science. One gap-less solid monolithic linear way of action under the objective authority and purity of The Science. No room for interpretation, subjective agendas, interests and opinions, power plays, malevolence or good intentions. No error. Just facts and truths.

No, it is presented as if no human contemplation and intervention is taking place. Or that is even necessary, especially when dealing with such complex subjects that have deep, wide, far reaching transformative effects on every aspect of our life. As with climate change. Dark days for science.

A very dishonest, dangerous orthodoxy is being fostered by heavy supranational agendas at play.
Without any intention of sounding hyperbolic, conspiratorial or over dramatic, I believe we are going through the most dangerous period for western civilization.
We are heading towards a nightmarish dystopia.

Of course you can always continue talking about Trump.

I'm not saying this is the right way to follow, but here it is. Check the authors and co-signers.

The vote fraud cases have mostly been tossed out by the courts, lack of evidence. The same courts that Mitch McConnell and Trump have been filling with their hand picked conservative judges for the past 4 years.
Georgia's Republican Secretary of State is doing an audit of the election, not to find fraudulent votes (which has already been determined would be insufficient in number to change the outcome after a hand re-count) but to prove to the doubting public that the vote is legitimate.

Just watched an interesting documentary series on Netflix, "The Family". You should watch it.

That and "Get Me Roger Stone". A documentary about Roger Stone who just brought us the new "Stop The Steal" movement. The same man that idolized Richard Nixon (to the point of having his image tattooed on his back), and brought us Trump the presidential candidate....and had his prison sentence commuted by Trump.

Ed, et al, please cite the source that says this scientist’s data has been refuted or discarded.

I mean really, you can’t just say something you have read or heard without corroborating sources. Mr. Stewart’s rules.

That is, unless, for some odd reason, that only applies to me.

Has anyone told these fools their leader is a Russian asset, not a Nazi. Proud boys marched on to the White house, glad they left their guns in their cars.
