I know a guy who has been a falconer since age 17. They're incredible. He hunts rabbits with them and gives the meat to a homeless shelter.

I'd love to see a falcon unleashed on some crows. I hate crows.

Can't kill them in AK. The natives believe that they are their ancestors. Yeah, they're smart, but like Blake said, they're mean. That and it's hard to catch them so you can punch those little assholes in the face. That's why I don't like them.

I call them "trash chickens."

The Eskimos think their ancestors are now vicious scavenger fowl? That's just jacked up in too many ways to mentally process.:wtf:

crows?

Why all the hate for crows? They are among the smartest animals on the planet.
they are nest raiders.....and there are very few songbirds left in SoCal

ask farmers about crows and the crop damage they inflict

for a few years there was a moratorium on shooting crows and their

population exploded, my hunting and fishing club got the season

restarted :drummer:

I need to get my friend's Uncle to get us permission and a depredation

permit for the roost in the Central Valley, must be 100,000 crows in the

roost:naughty::naughty::naughty:

the only good crow is a dead crow!

Lol, I shit you not. I wish I could kill them, but it's about as illegal as killing a freedom eagle.

Noel, I claim ignorance on the subject. I viewed that video that Gary sent about two minutes before I saw you're thread, and that's about all I know about crows. Surprising I really don't see that many around here. Just ducks and geese.

Mike;
if you lived here you would hate crows within 1 week....

they hunt in huge flocks and harass everything they can't kill and eat

with the exception of Great Horned Owls.....all other birds hate them.

when I grew up (still trying) there were NO crows and crows were very

wary of people

now the POS are everywhere except my front patio and my loquat

tree.....they know their friends have lead heart attacks there

:naughty::naughty:

yesterday a 1st, a female humming bird ate out of my hand twice

:drummer:

she's about 4' from me as I type this

The crows were once part of the natural balance of nature..Start screwing with the environment and then species will abnormally emerge and get the upper hand.

Tell me what eats crows in the USA ? Birds of prey..and we mangled up their environment so hey presto you got what you got.

I'll stop "crowing about it now " ha ha

Probably same reasons I hate squirrels. Destructive bastards.

Joe;
normally nothing eats crows, probably taste like shit.....had one hanging in a tree for 18 months and something ate it:jsm::jsm: must have been a opossum

I used to leave them for the coyotes......ants ate them, coyotes won't touch them

ravens will chase them out of an area though:yo:
