Hi Guys..

Here are a few pics I took a couple of weekends ago at Mallory Park.

Hope you enjoy them.

Words fail me! Thanks for posting. You have made my day.
One of my fondest memories is going to Mallory Park in an ancient Ford 100E looking at the road through the rotten floor, to watch the match race between Ago on the MV, and John Cooper on a shed built Yamaha.
Sweet memories.
That and watching Percy Tait crash at "Clearways" every time I was there.

Simply awesome stuff. It's actually a wonder that this thread hasn't exploded yet. Far too much cool for one thread!!

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Wow what a firework. Seams like many of those fellows moved just from Spa to Mallory Park. Thank You very much for the eye candy.

Cheers Guy's.. It's my pleasure. :)

The great thing about The Festival of a 1000 Bikes, is that they use the original Mallory circuit layout without that silly "Bus stop", " Edwina's" and " Charlie's" ..

You come off Shaws hairpin and then flat out through the Devil's Elbow until you reach the braking point for Gerard's..

Gerard's has finally been resurfaced after all those years.. There's no longer a bump as you enter the bend and it's now as smooth as a bowling green.. Actually the lack of the bumpy surface makes you go to quick into the bend and the bike starts to drift out until ... Ohhhh Sh*****T !..

I was most impressed with Steve Baker.. He was so smooth going round the corners on his ex-works Yamaha..

Also, Sammy Miller was keeping it real.. I don't know where that man gets the energy from, but I'd like to have some of whatever he's taking..

I took loads of pictures during the day, but far to many to upload on to this site.. I hope you guys enjoyed just some of the few that have been posted..

Here are a couple more..

John Cooper

My mate's Percy Tait 500cc Triumph

The best paddock starter I've ever seen... LOL..

And a birds eye view of what Ago see's on his MV.

MCN released this on Youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvIKLBOlS2c&feature=youtu.be

The event was organised by the VMCC..

There was a full camera crew at the event and Steve Parish was interviewing The Good and The Great..

It might be worth sending an email to the VMCC and asking them whether it is possible to get hold of a video of the event..

Here is their web link : http://www.vmcc.net/1000bikes/

Link to their Contact Us page : http://www.vmcc.net/contact.htm

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Cheers John, top-notch photos!

Maybe this event will continue to grow, and rival Spa in the future!

Thanks again.

Great photos mate. I thought that I spied a picture of Steve Baker in there, a bit greyer of course but unmistakable. I particularly liked the pics of the CBX's too, I came across my old CBX owners club badge when clearing out the loft the other day, the only bit of CBX I have left these days! Lol
