I've read that the front brakes had a recall for an upgrade, my 2000 F4 has a "soft" feel compared to my 748 Brembo's.
I ask 2 dealers and they said that they never heard of the problem.
Anyone know where to find more info?

Hi, I have a 2001 F4, also with that soft feel on the brakes. The dealer here did change the entire front brake sytem. There was a recall for it. Tell dealer to check with Headoffice.

I got a recall letter in Feb '02. It says that it affected all MV models prior to VIN ending 4145.

I've gotten used to the feel of mine, so I never had the recall service done. I've got EBC pads, and I change the fluid every year.

I have a 2004 750 SR and the Nissin brakes on this are far better than the Brembos that were on my Ducati 916 or are on my current Ducati ST3.

Don't know if the older MV models had not so good brakes, but the 2004 ones are great!
