Nice pics Robbie - thanks for posting. :yo:

So I take it that Julian's two bikes & that 150 were the only 3 MVs there?

Did the bad weather forecast and poor start (weather wise) keep many people away compared to other years?

So there were TWO Moto Guzzi "trucks" - what are the chances! :jsm: :jsm: :jsm:

Great stuff Robbie :):):)

i probably missed a fair bit by getting there at 12 robbie, so not sure what happened before 12, but the mototecnica stand was there with a few new mv bikes, and julian had his two beasts there. Perhaps a few more classic mvs were there in the morning. Hopefully Russ will post some pics.

my contribution with a few details

It had rained all night and was still raining at 9.30 am when I arrived. Some Guzzis and Laverdas were already there but then Guzzi riders are known to do a lot of miles in any weather. The water can be seen on some of the bikes. I expect it was still raining in the outer suburbs until much later in the morning. This, no doubt, contributed to the low turnout of bikes as when there is no rain there are upwards of 250 Italians on display. Even so, there were still some very tasty bikes to be with quite a few I had never come across before.

1972 750 SFC Laverda series 11,000. This bike is original (not run in 25 years) including tyres. The bike also has the factory option Grimeca front brakes. The owner is going to get it running and do a bit of a tidy up and, thankfully, not a ground up restoration.

Bob Brown developed 8 valve TT Ducati. This particular bike was the development bike for the Kevin Magee race bike which was the first 8 valve Ducati to win a race (even before the factory 851 race bikes). Not many knew of this bike until it was restored last year.
