Is the factory swing arm stand a two person operation? I'll be damned if I can get my bike in the air without the aid of another person. Any tricks or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nah, not trying that way, if it overbalanced it'd be gone! I simply fit the stand to the wheel, stand the bike up so the stand is touching the floor flat, put right foot on top of stand, and push back, been doing it for 6years now, getting the bike off is easy, just grab both bars and push the bike forwards, as it starts to roll off the stand just apply the front brake to control the speed.

That's the mikef4uk way. I do it that way as well. I would be nervous not having my hands on the handle bars.

I just threw mine away. I found it easy to work, but garbage quality . It became a pain to put it in, or take it out of the wheel. I got a pitbull and the diference is day and night.

I'm like you, a bit nervous not having my hands on the bars. I tried it the other way and just about tipped it over...close, real close. After I regained a normal heart rate, I tried it the way suggested above, and it worked very well. THANKS!
I have a set of Pitbull stands for my K12S, so I may look into getting the pin for the rear stand...then no worries at all, they work great.
But I'm determined to use the supplied MV stand, if for no other reason than it's just cool to actually get something like that with the bike.
