Well, the CC is now chugging eastwards towards Georgia.
Quite surreal. Payment made in full from New Zealand to the USA based on good ol' fashioned trust in a man's word. Bloody brilliant. It's added to the whole experience and I've gained a new friend.

Time to thank my wife again......:)
Thank you, Melanie, for allowing me to realize these dreams.
I love you so.

If you can, ask them to nail blocks of wood down on the sides of the tires. Otherwise, the tire can slip-out and the bike will fall over. I know too many people who have had their bikes damaged because of this. Even with the straps set-up exactly how you have them on all four corners.

Better safe than sorry with such a gorgeous bike.

Congrats

Hi Nick, welcome back.
The pallet that the bike is strapped to has a slot that the front wheel drops in to, about 4 or so inches down into the pallet. The front is then tied down, then the rear. This eliminates the requirement to place a chock either side of the tires -essentially it's chocked right now. You probably can't tell that from the pictures I've posted.
I did do some research on motorcycle transporters within the USA and got some advice from Carl (CAG) after Noel correctly pointed out that he ships these things around more than most.

On another note, Scooter only pisses on our Mini Cooper's tyres, no other vehicle gets the puddle treatment.

Regarding the Tambo and 312R - if you can get over to New Zealand, you have a humble place to stay and some special bikes to ride, you just have to return them.....

Lastly, some bad news: Melanie does not have a sister

Big Congratulations to you Dave & Melanie & Scooter :yo:

There are 100 of those in existence, I fear many have found their way into 'collections', that's a real shame as - that kind of bike that meant for a true enthusiast, one that is meant to be ridden and shared with the general public by being seen out & about.

I struggle to come up with a worthier owner than Dave! Times like these I know for sure there this a motorcycling god with impeccable judgement. I couldn't happier even if I owned it myself, Dave is a true gem.

I can't wait to see you 'christen' it at Bubba III - :yo: :yo: :yo:

Congrats again Bro. :):):):):):):)
