John,

They ran Lowes in supersport last year pn the R6. Russian based team that will do their best to try and beat the big boys.

They managed to beat Kenan Sofuoglu to the title last year and he has won it a silly number of times.

Cheers Dan

I haven't got cable or Sky, so don't get to see any of these teams race on TV..

With Moto GP now going to BT, I won't get to see any motorbike racing on TV this year..

Mind you, BT’s new anchor team of Melanie Sykes, Toseland and Hogdson isn’t much to shout about..

John,

There are ways if you have a decent internet connection.
The BBC cocked up the coverage, with it being all over the place for every race.

If you have rip off BT internet you can get it for free anyway.

?????? Stooopid comment!!
OK i'll rephrase that, "i WONDER how quick it would be........."

Currently the bike is some 2.5 sec off the pace and people are saying MV have a lot of work to do but without putting Sykes on the bike how do you know how much of that 2.5 sec is the bike and how much is the rider?

OK, I'll respond to this.
How do you know Tom is the best rider to put on the MV, come on, surely you know that sometimes the "top' riders have no idea about developing a new bike. Care to recall how long Tom's been chipping away at that P.O.S Kwak to turn it into a WSBK winner.......... Short memories boys.

The boys have a steep climb ahead of them, and most of it is electronics, care to remember how long it took BMW to build a decent WSBK  ?

Give the guy a break man.

Thanks Dons.

I think Corti is a very capable rider, good enough to mix it up with the front guys on the right bike.
The F4 is not yet developed to run up front, but I am confident we will see consistent improvement during the season. They have a lot to sort out with basically no idea where to start. Every track they go to, they start blindly.
It will be a lot harder to make a competitive SBK machine than a WSS bike because there are more adjustable variables in WSBK. But I also know the head of Riparto Corse who also is the lead engineer at the factory. Smart cookie with a personality that won't give up.

It were only 2 seconds today.
Cluzel and Iwanow didn't do to bad either.

I wish the best for the MV boys in WSS, but until Sofuoglu retires it is very difficult to beat him.

I did see that Sam Lowes has been right on the pace, which is good news as we have two Brits that are competitive for a change!

2.5 seconds off the pace on a relatively untested (compared to pretty much everything else out there except the EBR bikes) machine? I'd say that's pretty respectable. I don't think anyone expects a championship this year...or the next.

Even if they're only mildly successful, I think just being back racing on the world stage with "the big boys" will do great things for the marque.
