A semantics thing: Right Hand and Left Hand Drive refer to on which side the steering wheel is in your car, not the side of the road on which you drive. The side of the road on which you drive is referred to as __ Hand Traffic. (Left or Right)

LHT/RHT vs. LHD/RHD.

Therefore, in NZ you are Right Hand Drive on the Left Side of the road.

We, in the US are the opposite: Left Hand Drive on the Right Side of the road.

Now, your headlight, I can deduce from your post must be designed for RHT roads....like in the US.

All road going headlights have an "aim" that is predicated for the country of use. That "aim" directs the light down and away forme the road centerline. Light scatter is minimized, the roadway is better illuminated in the lane of travel, and the light should not blind oncoming traffic.

If you look at modern lighting systems like LED and Halogens, there is a very sharp light scatter cuttoff in a horizontal plane, too. Sometimes this plane has a notch for the oncoming traffic lane.

The part number looks to be 8000B3692. I'd be pretty certain that would be unique to this headlights orientation.
