Hi All,

I've dropped a valve. Trying to decide if I should sell the bike as is (price..AUD?), or swap it with a B31 engine from a local dismantler.

3 engine options available. The vendor has youtube videos of the motors running before dismantling.

Main questions (I've searched this forum for hours but cant find definitive answers)
1. What other parts other than the motor do I need to buy?
2. Do I really need to buy a brutale or dragster ECU? Or do I need a new dash assembly?
3. Of the 3 motors available, which to chose?

Motor off 2018 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR 23000km
. $2500 AUD

Motor off 2016 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR. Covered 11000km. $2800 AUD

Motor off a 2017 MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR. Covered approximately 20000km. $2700 AUD.

I can't find any F31 engines locally.

Brutale engine will fit fine, just tuning of your ECU will be a bit off. But that can be corrected. Get the latest year, lowest mile version.

Difficult question.
the later years have seen some improvement with the euro4 introduction. MV reduced internal friction.
however, they have more milage.

May I ask under what circumstances it shit itself? Is it a track bike and what sort of milage?

Thankyou
Minor service before first and only track day
Then 5 Sundays in a row of spirited riding. Shifting at 12k rpm. My shift points can be seen on you tube.

Dropped the valve cruising a 110km/h on highway. 4th gear. 7k rpm I guess.
