Hi,
I want to repaint my standard wheels (black) in the color gold "Marchesini". I know that it isn't simple to replicate that color but I found, maybe, the code:

PPG 95 4663

But I have a doubt. I noticed that on old F4 (example 312 RR) the color is more similar then yellow (https://goo.gl/images/oME1Q8)

On F3 "serie oro" the color is more similar then "sand effect" (https://goo.gl/images/suz4Nw)

Do you know the color code of these different type of gold? Maybe, the specified code before (PPG 95 4663) is the color of first type but I'm not sure.

If I were you I'd send Tasy F3 an PM and ask his colorcode, I mean his F3 looks killer.

Or go a different route and go for dark bronze with red rim tape ;)
Then again im a sucker for bronze.....>:)

I sent a PM to Tasty F3.

Could you insert an image of that color? I would to understand the color type.

Im not sure if this was meant for a reply to my comments, but this is what I mean.
First two pictures are around same paint finish as the gold wheels that Jdgun and Tasty f3 have, 3rd is a more shinier bronze that matches the gloss reflecting red fairing panels. And 4th picture is to show it also works with silver.

Thanks! Was the original F4 Oro 750 not much darker almost bronzish compared to the F3 Oro?

I take it 800095396 is the colour code? Is that a universal colour code that i can give to someone to make or is that the MV colour code?

How did MV make the "machining" look on the F3 Oro frame plates and was it painted or powder coated?

The F3 is a different, lighter, gold.

800095396 is the MV Agusta part number.

So, how do they get this textured CNC machined look alike finish on the frame plates? Is that a painted or powder coated finish?

Something that can be done by a specialist?

That finish is machined.

Typically that would be from a piece fo billet they intend to leave the marks on for the "VISUAL APPEAL".. with powder you can do a few things, but not so much for that specific look,.

In this moment I prefer this type of gold ( https://goo.gl/images/oME1Q8 ), this bike has original Marchesini wheels. The color code should be "PPG 954663".

The "F4 750 Oro" color is a gold much dark and the "F3 Serie Oro" color is a gold much light (too much "sand effect").

I was thinking to repaint also other parts as the bike in the picture ( https://goo.gl/images/oME1Q8 ) but I think that it isn't simple because for the wheels is sufficient to bring the wheels to the varnisher, for other parts is much more difficult.
