I think this bike was made by the Kay's (MV builders and tuners in England) with permission from Ferrari so it is a 'genuine' one off Ferrari. It has been for sale for ages (see the for sale section of www.thebikemuseum.com)

There have been other Ferrari bikes bikes not necessarily with Ferrari permission. I remember an article abour a chopper made to look like (similar styling) the owners Ferrari

some Ducati race bikes also had the prancing horse on the bike.

World War One flying ace , Francesco Baracca, flew with the prancing horse symbol on his plane. This prancing horse became the Ferrari logo and also appeared on earlyTaglioni designed Ducati GP racers. The connection was that Taglioni's father flew with Baracca.

You're right. I just flicked through the "Ducati - 50 Golden Years" book, and there on page 52 is a picture of Mike Hailwood, on his Ducati 250 twin, complete with a prancing horse emblem on it.
