Hi guys

I have never heard MVs exhsust notes in person.
Im one of thoes sound maniac who likes V10 exhaust and so on.
So I was wondering if MV reallys has a different exhaust notes
compare to japanese 4 cylinders.
I guess I will find it out eventually but cant wait till my bike arrives.

Check with gpracing. He is a forum sponsor and is located in CA. Not sure on the newer bikes if you can get just the slip-on or have to get the full system

Very different! My neighbor is always telling that 1000 motorcycles can pass on one day, but when I arrive he hears that by miles! And he loves it :) (and that probably does not count for all neighbors haha)

"The F4 engine is a liquid cooled inline four cylinder (4-stroke) with two overhead camshafts (DOHC), 16 radial valves, electronic multipoint injection, induction discharge electronic ignition and following capacity variants: 749.5 cc, 998 cc and 1078 cc. The engine was derived from the 1990–1992 Ferrari Formula One engine. Early in the design process Ferrari engineers assisted in the development of the engine. MV (Cagiva at the time) quickly deviated from the Ferrari design, but they kept one important feature, the radial valves. The F4 engine is unique in the sense that it is the only radial valved motorcycle engine currently in production." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Agusta_F4_series

Here are a couple of videos with great F4 sound.

I agree Ed fabulous sound

you want an amazing intake noise, not like the beautiful sound of MVs....

lift the tank on an Aprilia RSVR or Factory '04-'09 and remove the top of the air box.....

absolutely the loudest intake I've ever heard......don't do it without serious ear protection:naughty::naughty::naughty:

the difference i would say is i have a brutale and heard and rode a friend's cbr1000rr and the difference is with stock exhausts the honda sounds like you would think a honda sounds, very smooth very normal in a way, it revs quick and is loud but loud in a way that you would expect a really precision machine to sound. so in a way its sort of boring.

the brutale revs almost as high but has a little bit of a louder note deeper in tone especially at 10k rpm where the cbr is a higher pitch, the mv definitely sounds more like you would think of like a really really high reving v8 like a ferrari sound, its still smooth but has a bit of a harsher tone that makes it sound better.

hard to describe when you get yours you will know. good luck.

I believe visceral is the term I'd choose, there is something truly visceral to all aspects of the MV that just make it desirable.

I'd also add that the Ducati Desmocedidi and Aprilia RSV4 sound great once factory exhaust is replaced.
