I just replaced a missing exhaust/ header mounting bracket (because it must have fallen off and was lost) and noticed the other mounting nuts( 8 in total, 2 per exhaust header ) were not very tight. I used a standard closed end wrench and, though I tightened them significantly, don't feel that I over-torqued the nuts. Does anyone know of a reason why I should not have tightened these mounting nuts, for instance, do the brackets expand when heated placing excessive force on the bolts?
