does anyone know how to remove the core in the stock pipes?

My friends ferraci exhaust on his MV sounds awesome and the stock pipes are too quiet.

Anyone who has already done this what are some tips and how is the sound?

Courtesy of JamesC, here is what you are up against:

My thoughts would be, aside from the cores tips, you could drill through the baffle plate to free up a few dB. Wondering how loud it's be without the tips all together, as the gases do a fair few turns to get out as it is. I had an R1100S BMW and it was quiet as even without a muffler, due to the Cat baffling everything so much

Keep us updated of developments.

Cheers

thanks for the visuals! looks like if might be more work than I was originally thinking. I ll check with the local shops to see how much they could do it for.

I saw some on ebay a month or two ago that went pretty cheap.

Are the RG3's considerably louder than regular stock arrow pipes?

Yes, looks like some work for sure. Shame it's not as simple as bigger bore in the tips, or is it?

Not heard stock vs RG3 on same day, but I wouldn't call the RG3's offensively loud. Been a few sets of Sil-Motors on ebay. You seen RG3's on ebay?
