To be fair, the data I posted above is an optional one so I did opt out, there is only one that is mandatory.
The dealer asked for my email to register the bike with Pierer Group. I then receive an email
asking for me to create a log in etc where my digital bike would be waiting in the garage. Again I went through the rigmarole, signed up to yet another account, the digital bike isn’t there, and again all the usual consent were required.
So now I have two accounts, one with PG one with MV, two apps (Ride and Mobisat), personally I don’t like this software IT heavy crossover with bikes. Where the Ago had a race ecu in the box, going forward it will be done by dealers with up maps according to the dealer tech.
I had high hopes for Pierer Group and on the whole think they have been doing a good job, but I do hope they don’t get all German and KTM on us with these little things because it is not just about the bike and the whole creating an account where you can pay for extea services smacks of future subscription based offerings.
