First of all i would like to thank you for accepting me within your group.

I am from malta and im looking to buy a second hand bike from sicily. the mv agusta is the most beautiful bike i saw but as here in malta we dont have an mv agusta dealer i would like to know if a normal bike mechanic would be capable of doing a simple service or if he needs some special tools.

i would also like to know if some of you have a good site from where i can buy oem parts for services or if something goes wrong with a sensor or anything.

last and most important is if there are any common malfunctions or problems with the bike.

How do you plan on getting software updates? Otherwise, a competent bike mechanic will suffice.

Welcome! Check for forum sponsors for parts. I've ordered a fair bit of OEM bits from Star Twin and they have been very good to deal with.

There's also Donsy's site for the shop manuals - well worth the download.

There are a few tools (e.g. the tapered rear axle nut socket) that are easy to get from any of the sponsor's site as well. The biggest challenge will be the computer diagnostics and engine mapping tools, but hopefully you could get that checked out before you bring the bike over to Malta.
