Cut out while warming up now won’t restart

Hi guys, I took my f4 out of the garage today and whilst putting my helmet and gloves on I started the bike to warm up a bit, it Sat happily ticking over for about a minute and then just died, it didn’t stutter or stumble it just shut off dead, all the dash lights were still on, so I pressed the starter button, nothing! Switched it off and back on again and tried again but no luck either, my first thought was a fuse so stripped the fairings off and checked all the fuses on the right and the 40 on the left, but they were all good! I also notice now when switching the ignition on the fuel pump doesn’t seem to prime like it used to either?? Am I missing something or has anyone experienced a similar thing??

Assuming "my f4" is a First Gen....check inside your fuel tank for a popped off fuel outlet hose. Common failure.
The gas was used up in your delivery then nothing. Like Chuck pointed out hose popped most likely cause. Happens to the worst of us. Kidding.
Yes first gen f4 2000, would this pipe popping off not let it turn over as well??
No. That would be the main power fuse at the start solenoid behind the left mid fairing
Or the battery is weak.....less than 9 volts and she won't run.

I know you said you checked the fuses....how did you check them?
You also need to understand that only one of those fuses is active and the other is a spare.
The fuse on the left nearest the terminal marked "B" is the active fuse.

Hi, thanks for all your replies, I had a chance to have a look at it all in a little more detail with a meter etc after my last post, and all the fuses were good and were checked with meter rather than rely on the eyes solely, well anyway after some prodding and scratching of the head traced it back to the copper connection inside the switch itself! So complete fairings off, tank and seat unit off, all for a switch that’s easily accessible! Typical eh!! But hey thanks again for all your inputs much appreciated

We’ve had a spate of start switches going wonky. Must be the age….🤔
The kill switch is the switch I’m referring to
