does anyone here have one?
i know a great painted in town...
i think i'm going to take a white Shoei RF-1000 helmet to him and request that he paint a visual representation of TUSCANY

or something like that
For what it may be worth, every major helmet manufacturer specifically warns against repainting helmets because of the deleterious effects of paint and/or solvents and thinners on the elements of the shell responsible for shock absorption. I would be surprised if repainting would not void any helmet warranty.

They don`t want you to paint a car helmet also because it can melt or burn in a fire.

Most helmet are DECALS, not paint...it's the reason they fade cause 99% of them are water decals. Look at your helmet closely... Suomy's are the most noticeable, and some Shoei's are more noticeable than others, but most are water decals...then cleared over...

If you're going to repaint it, only wetsand the clear off, then have it airbrushed on. Better adhesion, and uniform texture (nothing is raised)...

Fire is only an issue in automobile helmets. they also come with nomex or some sort of fireproof liner.
