Sorry if this has already been covered here......but I was wondering if the CRG Hindsight or Blindsight mirrors will fit the 2004 Brutale's stock handlebars? I need to know if I will need to order the additional internal adaptors as well.

I don't want to have to move the grips and controls further in.

Thanks!

Get the Motovation weighted bar ends, not the CRG optional item. The CRG is no weight at all, just a plug. The Motovations items will help reduce buzz.....and yes, you will need an adapter of one type or the other.

Yeah, I noticed a bit of buzzing at speed. Thanks for the heads up!

I've tried the Street Fighter Oberons and didn't like them. The bar ends are alluminium and yes they buzzed. You also can't see much out of them because of their size and their flat glass - I needed to close one eye to see out of them. You also can't adjust them without an allen key.

I have the CRG's Hindsight mirrors with the Motovation bar ends now. Way better. I chose the Hindsight mirrors without the LS (lane split) option because I read a review somewhere saying that the feature rarely got used. Depends on the way you ride. Myself, I don't bother filtering in traffic where the gaps are that tight.
Edit: If you're planning to park in tight places too, the LS is probably a good choice.

Thanks for the link! Do you have these on your bike? What size did you order if I may ask?

Mike
I had them on my S4Rs and when I got the Brute, I've purchased a set for it too; they can't be all that bad!
As far as buzzing, I had more with the stock elephant ears, the bar ends are billet aluminum to reduce vibrations and use as sliders if.............. you know, knock on wood!
They have allen set screws so when is set, they won't vibrate out of position, they're not cheap because thy're good and a buddy of mine on a monster with CRG's regrets not knowing about Oberons when he purchased his. Granted, they're 2", so if the size does matter, use the others, IMO if I need anything bigger than that, I'd leave the stock ones on! Good luck!

More mirror discussion for the Brutale weenies (again;Randy's word, what does it mean?).

I do say it in jest as I have been into the dealer this week to enquire about the arrival of the 1078RR. Yet to hit him with 'will you trade a Senna'

I haven't come to terms with being without an F4, yet.

I have the CRG Lane Splitters with the Motovation bar ends. I really like the folding option because it makes it easier to get the bike through the living room door. "Filtering" is illegal in Texas...besides our bumper to bumper traffic moves at 80 MPH so I would have to be doing 90 between lanes and one of the darn SUVs we love so much would probably take me out.

And that SR4S with clip ons is gorgeous! Anyone fit clip ons to their Brutale?

La Rossa,

Thanks. Great looking bikes by the way.

What size (inside diameter) collets did you order for the Oberons? They list sizes from 15mm-22mm ish on their website. I suppose I can just measure my handlebars but my bike is at home and I wanted order them asap.

Thanks!

I ordered 17mm but with it, they give you 2 different sleeve size just in case you decide to use them in a different bike.
You're very welcome!

Mike, I have a pair of black ones in new condition. I will sell them for $50 US + postage. They have the 17mm collets and a few other sizes. I had them on my Brutale for about 3 weeks before swapping to CRGs. PM me if you're interested.

I think they look great. I would have accepted their light weight if I could see more out of them or the type of riding I do was different. In my case I use my Brutale in congested freeway traffic at times and seeing what's coming up behind me when braking is important. Getting rear-ended on the freeway by a dozy car driver is a common type of collision. Lane splitting helps reduce that risk but it isn't always an option.

I was going to get the bar ends machined from stainless locally and replace the mirror glass with a convex ones... Just haven't got around to it and probably wont now.

La Rossa, that pipe looks great! I would love to know how it sounds and how loud it is. Maybe you could post a vid on youtube when you're done.

Craig: It's F4 Weenies, and Brutie Studs......Dump that Senna. You've already got a pretty lady in Ms. Sami. You don't need that penis implant F4. :shitfan:

Come on over and reside with the Brutie Studs. It'll keep you young, and God knows you need that after buying that K1200GT...:stickpoke

Oh, and I've got the CRG lane splitters on my Brutie and my S4Rs.
