Hey all This has been a minor but real drag. It is an audible rattle and seems to be getting worse. The mirror vibrates at idle and worse at speed. I have pulled it apart to only make it slightly better.

Might anyone have a recommendation. Yes, I have tried a few searches and yielded nothing.

Appreciated

Have not experienced this...are you using Motovations bar ends, or the little plugs that came with the CRGs?

You might contact CRG directly. Nice people and very responsive to customer inquiries.

I've noticed to on my brute the left side mirror buzzes. Esz I think he was talking about the stock mirrors from CRC. If you find an answer post it up.

I am going to ask a question first, then I'll proffer a solution to a problem I can't see...P.F.M.

Do the mirrors adjust from the base of the glass housing...or are they on a pivot within the glass housing?

If the housing is what you adjust to change mirror angle, and the mirrors are solid mounted in the housing, then try a very small dab of clear silicone where the glass meets the housing. Use a very small squeegee of your own making a strike anywhere match works well...the wooden end...) and distribute the silicone around the glass edge. Wipe off excess, let dry.

If they are on a pivot, I'm at a loss...

Ah yes....I see that now. Yep...they buzz and blur from vibration, plus you only see your elbows....my left one would slowly readjust itself while riding.
This is in reference to the Brutale...F4 I don't know.

Thanks guys,
This is on F4 mirrors.
Its the right one. IMO it seems like the socket needs to be tighter. Even worse its audible atleast when im city riding.

Ive tried to remove the plastic chassis inside the mirror but couldnt figure it out. In there I think I could do something. Anyone removed them?

Not yet...but I might tomorrow. If you remove the screw that holds the turn indicator lens in place, remove the lens, it appears there is a screw inside that may hold the assembly in place. The parts manual and the service manual do not show the mirror break-down. Perhaps CAG.

I have done as you mentioned but once I get to that final screw the assembly doesnt seem to want to be any more securable. I was thinking RTV sealant, PTFE tape.

I take care as its obviously plastic. frustrating. Ive had it apart a few times.

Having problems with vibration of mirrors (1078 Brute). I saw the Rizomas and they look nice but do they vibrate also? Do the barend weights actually work (to reduce the vibrations)?

I think all mirrors vibate especially on nakeds and standard bikes. Same with supersport bikes too.

Mine vibrates IN the mirror housing. Its a real drag. Almost just want to order a new one from Barrac. Maybe the carbon ones hmmmmm.....:mouthwate

these mirrors have weights almost like wheel balancing weights in the mirrors, to stop then from vibrating and tend to unstick, therfore rattle, most seem to vibrate a little,
