I spoke to EvolutionBike...

I am just trying to order a race ecu for my 2011 1090r and wanted to make sure which is the correct one.
http://www.startwintrading.com/en/model/brutale/brutale_990_-_10/accessories/494
There is one listed on this page for a 1090 but not a 1090r, is there a difference?

Or this one but when i contacted evolution bike i was informed 1090r where only produced from 2012 on.
Thanks
As I followed the same path as you. First I purchased the headers then the "OL4" pipes to complete the system. (Kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on the full system in the first place)

Anyhow, this is how Gabriele responded to my question about the ECU difference between the header/midpipe and the header/midpipe/OL4 complete system...

"The ECU is different. In the manifolds kit there is an ECU with a map and in the full exhaust kit there is an ECU with another map.
But anyway you can use your racing ECU with the OL4 pipes. The difference is not too much. Yes, the DB Killer are removable."

I don't plan to run the OL4's without the DB killers and I assume that the back pressure is close to the stock exhausts with the DB killers installed.

Hope this helps. Let us know what you do and if the full system ECU makes a difference anywhere if you do end up buying one.
