Anybody done it?

I'm thinking of taking the clip-ons and triple off that 02 750 getting parted out and seeing how the Brute feels with clip-ons.

My concerns are clearance and the triple fitting. Aren't the Showas on the 02 750's 49mm??? So 1mm diameter difference in the triple, they should still work, as that's hardly a difference and atleast is 1mm SMALLER, so you can still tighten it down....

Also, with the Brutale having the intakes on the tank....will it clear?

I know alot of monster guys add clip-ons to the Monster and like the feeel, just curious if anybody else has done this...

I did this on a Monster and made a huge difference, especially at the track. Keep us posted. The idea of the Brute with a "comfortable" upright position is negated by the fact that it's a rack when it comes to any long distance so might as well forget the gentle ergonomics.

I was thinking about doing the clip-ons too. And awhile ago I posted a picture on the forum of a 750 with clip ons. I think I also posted the kind of clip ons he used. Look back 3 month or so and you should be able to find the picture.

Ubrute,
Where the hell have you been? Carbon wheels for you? With all the money
you spend on farm animals and hookers you could have bought the damn factory by now. Loose some of that beer and pork belly homeboy and you can get back to your old skanking race weight. Don't be a stranger now, call and say to your old east coast buddies.

sup ali;
dude, i told you that i won the bag of toys in the raffle.
i think you might br a candidate for the brute with low bars. i mean 90% of the time when riding this thing your going for it, no?
stop kidding your self by saying that a brutale is "practical" because it has an upright riding position.
750 at least, needs to be hit hard, and you need to get down!

Ubrute, the only thing I am going for these days is my prostate meds. With all that viagra you pop like candy, no wonder you are having problems keeping it down. Poor Lisa. Trust me, if you think keeping down your 750's front end down is a problem, I got my 910Rs instruments implanted in my visor and could use some weight on the front. Not to mention getting out of the wind. But my busted wrists and back LOVE that sit up position. I feel like I am fox hunting in the British country side sitting like that, I do. Behave or I'll show up at your door with a Goldwing with the radio blasting Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
