Unbelievable... that's terrible.

Good luck with the repair.

Could help if you were here in S.A.

Did they leave their details or did you witness it?

If you're not paying I'd be taking it to whoever does high end automobiles.

When you say shops do you mean MV dealers or repair shops? Otherwise maybe you could ask the local MV dealers who they reccommend.

What model MV?

I have heard through the rumour mill that if its an SPR you may as well get an entirely new tank since the coating they use with the matt finish makes it a bastard to re-paint without it turning cloudy.

second hand tank could cost you less and has original paint!! Here a tank repair/repaint costs €350-500 ex VAT!!

No one left a note or anything.
The tank is red,and they all say to re-coat the tank ($300-$500), waiting on the stickers.
Since the bike is new( 1month) just get a patch up, then later a proper job?

Thats one of the hard things about these bikes. You can't just slap a racing sticker over the damage like you could with a gixxer or a zx. It just doesn't look right on an MV.

Sorry to hear about the damage. Hope you get it worked out.

If you want a cheap fix, I have proper 2 pack paint mixed to match MV tank.
You can just ride out to my place and I an touch it up ....even if it's a temporary or now.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
The tank is chipped to the metal, not dinted.
Let you know the results, hopefully with photos. :smoking:
