For anyone looking for a cheap front stand. I just got this one, it has large rubber coated paddles which will not scratch the forks or brakes. Its pretty high quality considering the low cost. The only downside is that it does not lift the tire that much off the ground (~1"-1.5") but that's all I need to get the wheel off. This company sells on Ebay for a little discount over their website and shipped it really quickly. Like others have said while using this type of front stand, do not remove the front fender while on the stand as the fork legs will rotate and only use in conjuction with a rear stand.

Thanks for the pics. I have a redundant rear paddock stand and a front stand which I used on my ex R1. Your pics have given me an idea that perhaps I my be able to adapt this stand to work like yours. Tony has also suggested an alternative approach using a rear bobbin stand which I also happen to have. Many thanks.

Peter.
