CBR Bearing out of business?

Hi All,

I am about to have new tires mounted on my beloved 2005 Brutale and even though I’m only at 5k miles and have always been conscious of the proper torque, I thought that I’d replace the rear hub bearings for good measure. I’ve read about the bearings from “Charlie at CBR Bearings“ here, so I wanted to buy a set. It appears that the website, CBRBearing.com, is down and the email that I sent to cbr@cbrbearing.com, which was noted in a thread here, bounced. I see that as recent as last fall there were articles about the company in local press. Does anyone know if the website is just temporarily down or if they’ve gone out of business?

I see from some threads that @mitchy buys bearings from him/them. Do you know their status?

Thanks,

—Josh

At 5k miles with proper care given, I think you are being a bit overly cautious with the rear hub bearings.
Take care to do the job correctly if you do replace them so as not to cuase a problem you don't have now.
@mitchy , let us know what you learn. Thanks

Charlie may have deleted that Email address.
Try- charlie@cbrbearing.com
I have just placed an order with Charlie using this email address and it went through OK.

Noel " Theknurl" put me onto Charlie like I said 13 years ago when I started making hubs.
I could buy quality Japanese bearings cheaper than I could get in Australia and that was
including shipping. It looks like those days are over.
