I have been reading post after post about the Brutale seat being uncomfortable. Today, as I blasted down 347 skipping through flattened patches of sugarcane at 110 I once again realized I was having no prob with the seat. Same as when I am jumping off the curb in front of the Dallas City Hall, splitting lanes in Lafayette, or popping wander lust struck turtles with the back tire out in the back roads cutting through the swamps in Cameron (rear hugger is a must for this as turtle juice tends to get up into the back of the bike). not once did I notice the seat in all these activities. As for it pushing your nuts up into the tank, just hammer on the throttle and bam - problem fixed. I will admit, the longest I have ever road my R has been about 150 miles but hey, this aint no touring bike. If I want to take a long trip I have a horribly ugly but wonderful BMW K100 with a corbin seat and a huge winshield and heated grips AND a tape player! I guess you could get a big floofy corbin seat that will grip your ass like pro wrist wrestler as you try to get from one side of the bike to the other in the backgrounds or even call Alaskan Leather and slap a big furry wool pad on there too. I bet the corbin is gonna put the driver seat heigt right up there with the rear seat, wich will be perfect for long trips as now not only will the driver be forced to deal with a sore neck from wind but just out of fairness the rider will be forced to swich from side to side at they attempt to avoid helmet clunk or see in front of them giving them a sore neck too, its almost poetic. I guess I never factored in the thought of a ride over 150 miles on the bike with full blown racing suspension, dirtbike bars and absolutely no faring at all. Maybe they should bundle a big huge winshield with some nice speakers and a cupholder for some nice hot cocoa in with the new seats? Maybe Corbin is not the answer? Why not Lazy Boy? The seat works perfectly when the bike is doing what it is supposed to do, hauling ass, raising hell, and looking cool. I think that corbin seat is gonna be funny looking, I hope they put those big tuck and rolled buttons in it.

The seat is the only negative factor I have on the Brutale. When hanging off I found the seat's squared off edge digging into my inner thigh (outside leg). My lack of gluteus padding may also contribute to an uncomfy ride. Dare I say the Brutale seat is on par with a Honda 600 CBR RR.

Asses are like opinions...everyone has one and they usually stink. :piss:

Some people think the seat is fine, some don't like it. Same story with just about every bike out there.

I have no plans to replace mine, it does fine by me. (and I'm no skinny ass guy like most of you twigs on the board, EAT SOME PASTA! :)

I will admit my post is more humor derived through boredom and I guess the seat does come off pretty quick, I just hope the corbin isn't funny looking. I did ride on one of my buddies older GSXR 750 and the soft seat was kinda sticky while getting into the corners. The Brutale seat is stiff though Spalding, but you have to let me kid a bit. I don't really mind it. I am a little worried about the back one as it is ripping through the staples and I have only had a girl on it twice.

It's interesting. My Breva 1100 has the most comfortable seat of any motorcycle I've ridden but when I'm on the Brutale I don't even notice the seat. I did one 200+ mile day on it, usually I only ride it for an hour and a half or so though.
