Hi.
I am in the process of importing (from the US to Colombia - South America) a Brutale. You may imagine how exited I am (I have now a 2005 BMW Rockster and can't express my frustration with this motorcycle)
I was talking to the dealer and am a little comfused. The color that I like the most is the one that is shown in the MV Agusta web page for the S model (drak-gray, silver wheels, etc). For the Brutale 910 apparently the colors are gray/red, black/red; red/black. Are there any diferences in performance (significative) between the Brutale S and the Brutale 910? If there are, any idea if the 910 can be available in the dark-gray/silver color? I want to have the correct info so I can put some pressure on the dealer. Thanks. Luis.

Hi Ladiago and welcome on this forum.

I've tested the 750 and now, I own a 910 for about 8 month. The significative difference between those bikes is torque at low rev. The 910 is easier because it has A LOT more torque. I don't think that the power makes the difference.

In pure performance, I can't say, because I've never ride on a track and, I'm a to bad pilot to feel the difference.

So, If you want high rev, and screaming motor, buy a 750. If you like high torque at low rev, buy a 910.

Hope this personnal comment will help you, but wathever you do, you can't be wrong, MVAgusta bike are the best bikes of the world !

Ive owned both, the 750 definately has a smoother powerband, where as the 910 power is right there as soon as you touch the throttle, not jerky but not as smooth as the 750. I have not been on a track with them, but my opinion is the 750 would be better on the track and the 910 is better for street duty, cause that torque is right there when you want it :naughty:

having also owned both bikes i will have to agree with all the above comments.

(rsduce, i saw your post about headlight problem on brutaleforum.com, I too have this problem with the brights flashing when the fan goes on. bike goes to the shop this week for the Gladio install and it will be addressed as well, ill see what they do to remedy.)

Yea, let me know what they find! It sure is annoying at night when they flash

Thank you guys for your comments.. this is a great resource. You may know how hard it gets sometimes to get right answers from the dealers.
With your replies I went back and reviewed specifications and realized that the Brutale S was the 750cc and the 910 S obviously the 910 cc.
Any Idea if it is possible to get a 910S in the grey color that the 750cc apperars in the MV Agusta web page? How flexible are delalers with this?

the Gladio is a special kit and can be ordered but probably cheaper to order a 910R.

Which Web page?

The dealers wont be able to get you special colors unfortunately. You can occasionaly find panels on e-bay or paint it to your liking. I wouldn't be surprised if the matte is offered in 2007.

Hi read your message and i to now reside in colombia and adore the mv bikes got my eyes on the f3 model my concern is are you aware of any dealers here in colombia, as there would be issues on servicing or any bike problems that need sorting would prefer an ezperienced dealer in bogota if im going to buy a new mv bike what are your thoughts

appreciat any help you can share i to adore the naked bikes but the f3 is just a dream,regards ed

I too have owned both. A 750S a few years ago and a 910R (black, mat) now for nearly 2 years.
Both are endearing bikes.
I used to love the high revving of the S, and the kick up the ass you got at 5800rpm and again at 7600 or so.
No such thing on the 910R, just a lot more torque down low, and a willingness to surge forward every time you twist the throttle ever so slightly.
I've toured, commuted and tracked both bikes.
In my humble opinion, the S was easier to handle on the street as long as you knew how to work the revs. The 910R is a lot of fun but requires a defter hand. It is less forgiving.
At the track or on fast roads, the 910R's additional power (and torque) makes a lot of difference. Both cornered like dreams, but the S was more limited when coming out of corners.
Both bikes, due to their geometry, could easily keep up with fully faired sportsbikes around tight corners, but those would soon zoom past the S when the track straightened.
Last but not least if you're going to tour, the 910R has better fuel economy.
