I'm new to this forum, and find it very informative. I am in the market for a new Brutale.
A local dealer has a 2004 new leftover on the showroom floor. My question is, with the 2006's coming (in November I believe), How much of a discount should I expect to get on a bike that is almost 2 model years old?
Does anyone have any knowledge as to dealer cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Buy Low / Sell High!

I don't know what the wholesale or for that matter the cost price for a 2004 Brutale. Though I suspect like automobiles, you'd be able to request to see the papers of the dealers cost price. In any case I'm sure you'd be able to get at least $2,000 off the sticker price. And this does not include the several hundred dollars you can save from the dealer's shipping cost. Which can also be negotiated. It does not cost the dealer several hundred dollars to ship one bike. Because in fact, they ship several to dozens of bikes for less then half the cost for the one bike they try to charge the consumer. So for a 2004 you'll be able to in fact save 2,000 to possibly 2,700.00. Remember, with the fall new 2005-06 Brutale 750 @ 910 expected; the dealers want nothing more then to sell an out dated bike. The reality of it all is that the MV Dealers do not sell a high volume of MV Agusta bikes, compared to other competitors. But, I suspect that will possibly change in the months and years to come. In the mean time, we can try to take advantage of this opportunity and get a great price for a fantastic bike. If you believe you need any more reason to believe what I told you; then let me add that I once saw an advertisement through a MV Dealer in Australia selling their 2004-05 Brutale's of $13,995 for $2,000 less on the sticker price. I hope this has help you. So, good luck and remember to play hard ball with the Dealer or hard to get, which ever works better for you.

PS: Let me know how it goes! Also, For a 2004 Brutale you may want to look into a private seller. That would save you a bit more money as far as Tax @ License is concern. And if the 2004 bike your looking at through the MV Dealer happens to be used with a few miles or more on the bike; then you can offer even more then $2,400-2,700 off the price of the bike. Remember, any price that can be negotiated is best made with cash out the door!

you'll have to play rough with the dealers but my girlfriend just bought me a new 2004 and she paid 11,500 us$ out the door! not too bad for what would have been 15000$ with all of the dealer shipping and set up fees!

where is this leftover at as that will also make a difference. almost near the end of the riding season for us mid westerners and that is a bit of bargaining power as well. because who buys a bike in the snow
