Hey guys new to the board and looking for some help.

Looking to get rid of my 06 gsxr 600 and upgrade to an 04 brutale 750.

My question to the community is how much extra maintenance do these bikes require over a Japanese SS bike? I can do oil changes and minor bolt on mods but not able to crack the motor open. I ride about 10,000 miles and attend 2-3 track days yearly. Wasn't sure if these bikes require the valve adjustment every few 1000 miles like the ducs? I would like to avoid getting myself into something that requires a lot of intricate maintenance since our only authorized MV Agusta dealer went out of business early this past year. Are parts hard to get a hold of? I'm hoping this is a "change the oil/air filter and ride it bike."

Thanks A lot,

Andrew

It will be a little more maintenance than your gsxr, but not much, certainly far less than a ducati.
Parts will cost more, just the nature of smaller production numbers, and may take longer to get.
But, I've put 19,000 miles on mine in a year and a half, with few interuptions.

Besides making sure the battery is charged, which a lot of people seem to think is insanely difficult, I haven't had a problem. Once you do get it, be sure to get your hands on the service manual that's somewhere on this forum as well, that'll help you in taking care of anything else.

At that rate, you will need to perform a valve clearance inspection every year. Every 7500 mi. Worth it to me, maybe not to you. A gsxr is much cheaper to maintain, for sure.

The Brutale is a lot heavier on fuel too!
