The RR was truly a better spec model and also available with ABS from 2013 onwards. However, although slightly down on power, the Torque on the 990R was better than a 1090.
From 2013 onwards the 1090RR received only cosmetic changes, the last year of formal manufacture was 2017...however, they did make a couple in 2018 & 2019 (I literally mean a couple). They had sufficient parts to fulfil a couple of special requests from Italian dealers (I was in the factory in Dec 19).
