Hey everyone,

I am writing this after full 4 months of not knowing what's happening, who's doing what, hellish MV customer service..

Context :
I bought my second MV Agusta - a 800 Dragster 75th anniversary edition in June 2022 in Belgium.

I drove a little bit, put around 1300km on it and then brought it to Spain because I had some work there for a few months and I wanted to enjoy my bike there.

However, in Spain it broke down twice in the middle of the highway out of nowhere and impossible to start the engine again. I used the MV assistance to have it shipped to the local dealership to have it repaired.
The first time, they gave it back to me after a week but I faced the same issue again and had to send it back.

NOW, it is as the dealership since November 2022. They don't know what's the problem on it, they're telling me they're performing a series of tests and following MV guidances. I went to see the bike it's completely opened.

It's a new bike, with 1300 km and I can't do anything.

Have you faced any similar issue, do you know how I can solve this?
Is there a way to escalate to management or something ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

I think it highly depends on Belgium law what you can do.
Typically, they have the right to fix the failure but they also need to compensate for any cost e.g. rental bike.

Do you have any contact to MV?
If not, do you have a lawyer involved?

If MV does not react in time I would involve a lawyer. As you said, it is a new bike...

Eu law stipulates that all goods sold have to be fit for purpose. A nearly new bike being at the dealers for 4 months isn't fit for purpose. Unless they give you a loan vehicle for the duration I would seek to give it back. If you are going along with the repair I would also insist the warranty is extended.
Probably best to get in touch with MV direct.
Best of luck.

I reached out countless times … nothing seems to untangle the situation
Did you call them ??
I would be asking for a refund of all moneys spent and return of the bike to MV.
Explain you are having your lawyer get involved since answers and resolution have not been made.
Just the threat may be enough.

I've called them 15 times today, they didn't even pick up. I had the sales department on the phone, and he couldn't do anything but saying "maybe call later or i'll put you through"
The last time, they said I had to ask my dealership to reimburse me not them.
I already use the lawyer threat, nothing seems to work.
It just seems like they don't give a F. - it's my second bike I've spent around 40k with Mv Agusta, never again

What exactly happens, after the engine stops and you try to restart it:
Does the starter rotate with the start button pressed?
Does the starter rotate and the engine does not start?

Hey guys,

To give you an update.
I went to the garage and they said MV Agusta requested the bike to be sent to Italy, to the manufacturer.
They can't figure out what's happening and apparently it's a faulty fabrication.

I'm not gonna wait and ask my dealership to cancel the sale and reimburse me.
