@esq'z me just FYI I was browsing the workshop manuel for the brutale 1000 you provided and it seems the original Charger (battery Poweroad PLFP-14BR) have the same function you describe on the Shorai :

No it doesn't...it can't. It monitors the cell average. The equalization is simply the float charge after full charge state is reached.
To monitor and charge each cell individually you need more wiring attached to each cell and a circuit board to read each cell. The Shorai charger plug has a bunch of wires.

I didn’t want to start a new thread for this but does anyone know the 1000rs/RR battery size? They ship with a 4ah lithium battery from the factory. I want to see if I can install a larger capacity. Maybe 6ah? Not finding battery size in the manual.

You will have to look up the battery that came with the bike. The manufacturer’s documentation will divulge the dimensions.

Yes and it’s larger than the dimensions you listed. Question is, is the battery tray bigger than the battery installed or is it exactly the size of the lithium battery. Hope it’s the former.

the ATZ10 6.1ah battery that I want to get is 5.9 x 3.4 x 3.6 inches

I just hit 659 miles so I'll have to take it in to the shop on my next day off. I'll be sure to ask them and report back if they give anything useful!
