Hi lads i had to buy a new battery the other day & was wondering can u leave the battery upright in the bike or do you have to put it on its side like it was before i changed it.I know it does not fit as well upright.Cheers

I see you have a Brutale, on my F4 the stock battery is on it's side and if I put it upright the poles will be reversed.

Now I have a Lithium and it has a quick connector so I can put it any side up, it does not matter.

I hope this will help or someone with a similar bike like yours will give you the correct answer.

Enjoy the ride.:f4:

The battery is designed to lay on its side, and the MV battery compartment is designed to have the battery laying on its side.

So lay it on its side. The acid is fully absorbed into the plates of an AGM battery (absorbed glass mat). No acid can leak out unless the battery was not properly initially serviced.

...and by standing it up you have the probability of hooking it up in reverse polarity and causing electrical woes.
