Highway 401 runs from the Winsor Detroit border to the Quebec border. Vast sections of the highway have been closed some part of the last three weeks due to weather related accidents. This video shows part of the latest closure near Trenton. We live about 20 minutes north of Trenton.
Luckily, in the hundreds of cars & trucks involved there has been no fatalities.

Apparently the cold weather in the US has pushed the jetstream south so it now runs right over the UK, this has brought gales and rain on biblical levels pretty much not stop since December!
We are in for more of this for at least another couple of weeks they say
