I've noticed over the past few weeks that my B3 800 starts to drip what smells like gasoline after going for rides. The drip isn't much and only occurs for a few hours, then stops.

The drop is coming from one of the two drip hoses. Its not the coolant one. I gave the manual a look see but couldn't figure out definitively what the other drip hose was for.

Pic attached. The drip is from the lower of the two in the photo.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks!
Steve

It's the petrol tank over flow, do you fill the bike up on your way home after a ride?

Pull the brake in and push the bike back and forth to slosh the fuel around and you'll see a puddle on the floor ;)

Hmm no drip when sloshing the tank. Well I'm sure thats what it must have been then. I know for a fact I filled up on the way home before noticing it this time... unsure on previous times I noticed it.

I'll keep an eye on it and see if it happens again prior to filling up.

Thanks for the info!

It should only happen when the tank is full up to be honest, I tend to fill up with the bike upright and up to the bottom of the neck of the filler cap which probably doesn't help ;)
