I'm in the south of England but wondering what UK owners are members and if an annual MV meet up would be on the cards or is already a regular thing?

Fairly sure there's one on Facebook, although only what I've heard.

I spend too much time on forums to be bothered with Facebook.

Oh, I do 'follow' Caitlin Jenner on Instagram.>:) :wink2:

Been an owner/member here since 2006, as yet have not heard of 1 meet in the southeast, or at least close enough to not to spend 1/2 day sitting on the MV. Would like a local meet, in the summer of course lol.

Half a day sitting on the MV sounds good to me ;) I know what you're saying though. Where in UK are you? Might see if we can find out the geography of the UK members from the forum staff and find the most central point for everyone to meet, subject to a good riding route and meeting place.... Now is the time to start thinking of getting organised for a summer ride/meet...

I'm 2.5 hours from Heathrow, maybe less :)

We should think of a doing a meet, as soon as we get some good weather.

I'm in Snowdonia, right on the West coast in Aberdyfi. I'm used to riding 3 hours solid to get to civilisation (Birmingham straight across is easiest - although it is arguable if Yam Yam country is civilised...) so willing to meet West Midlands way. We do have the best roads here though and more than willing to meet somewhere in Wales to direct / guide.

I'm down towards south wales Monmouth. Rather than a ride, a few rides around the country is probably an easier ask.

See what interest this thread creates and where a central point would be. Failing that, Wales is absolutely stunning, but a long ole way from my corner of the UK. Would need to plan that as a weekend away really.

Hopefully we can get a central ride organised or a few local ones arranged, I'm easy either way, would just like to socialise and see as many MV's together as poss in the UK! ;) Only ever seen multiple MV's when at a track. Would love to see a group ride arranged and maybe become a regular annual MV meet... Interest depending.

Evo Chris is between you and I Graham, so we have hope to get a few of us together locally-ish... Just got to get some numbers and find a decent destination/route... Fingers crossed to get a date in for summertime! ;)

I would love to have a reason to go somewhere on a ride although I go out as regularly as I can just to ride!

If we want to get together the only way, in my experience, is to get up and do something about it!
I only really know areas south of the M25 - the A272 is a very popular biking road runs from east sussex to hampshire (I live near the middle)

I used to live down by Lydden circuit and used to run the coast road (A259) early Sunday mornings down to Rye and back, those were the days, much less traffic, few coppers and virtually no speed cameras.

Locally there are Whiteways and Loomies cafe, Alfs motorcycles main dealer Worthing further afield Moto Corsa MD Dorset and plenty of nice roads pubs etc - Southdowns National Park, Winchester onto New Forest NP and touristy Dorset. Any other suggestions anyone?

We have a choice of day out meet go home or something a bit longer weekend?
My thoughts on the subject is meet at Alfs friday ride to new forest / dorset loads of tourist camping, b and bs, accomodation - Saturday morning Moto Corsa home or stay to suit yourselves. See what the the dealers can do Moto have a cafe for breakfast. Just some suggestions lads and no I don't work for the dealers or tourist board.
Anybody else interested or got other suggestions.

Hence creating this thread to get something organised.

Hopefully to suit as many members as possible, preferably a route in the South East region, but as weather is currently pony, it won't be imminent. So even if we sort something with just us 3 or more of us MV enthusiasts if the interest is there, we need to get a date and meeting point set up. Can't do much without knowing who is willing and motivated and whereabouts people are in the country. Would like to get as many MV's out as poss. But in the next month or so, will look to make solid arrangements based on the interest on this thread.

So just watch this space Graham...

Bigger commitment than a days ride, but also interesting and worth while, so I'm game. The A272 sounds like a good option for a day out, further a field will mean more dosh and organisation, but happy to go with that if suits everyone.
I live near Canterbury in kent , would be interested in local kent ride out in the summer.
Dave, that makes 4 of us. Keep em coming. Obviously I'd be interested in an Essex ride, but something sensible, with decent route and reasonably accessible for all is what we need to arrange, so whether Kent, Essex, Hampshire, or wherever, it will need to be doable for the majority.

IF we're going to do a weekend break or a longer ride over a few days to accommodate a wider audience, I would say Wales is the best destination, it's a stunning place in parts and the roads are certainly better than many of the routes in England. Just takes more organisation, funds and commitment.

As Dansoarr says might be that a few local 1 day rides is what gets arranged, but hey, I'll travel to join in on all of them and see all the MV's I can, finances permitting ;)
