I brought my’ 07 F4 to the shop to get some new tires and to fix a blinker problem. The shop was not immediately able to diagnose the blinker problem and was fiddling with the fuses, the battery, and potentially anything else that a shop would fiddle with to solve a blinker problem. Eventually, they did replace the blinker relay (which restored power to one of the fuses that they had identified as not getting power) and they sent me on my way with a now working blinker. However, today, the bike would not turn over and start. The lights turn on and I can hear the pump…but does not turn over (it started once, but then stalled again).

When I called the shop, they mentioned that this also happened to them after playing with some of the connections for troubleshooting the blinker issue and they disconnected the battery, then reconnected and the bike started fine. Now since it stalled again, I have the feeling if all I do is use the same trick that they used, it will just happen again at a later point in time.

So….given this information, is there anybody here that can take a guess at what happened (and if it has to do with the shop) and how to fix it? Thanks in advance

Could it be the clutch safety switch or sidestand switch?
according to them...No. however, I will double check.

They drained the battery fiddling with the blinkers and now it is not fully charged?
that would be a best case scenario...I rode it for a pretty long time the next day and had it on a charger, so I would be surprised if that was not enough to get it back to charged (or close to charged)
