Massimo Roccoli took pole position and a second win on his F3 in the Italian road racing championship at Misano... The first race was held under heavy rain, and Roccoli slid out, but his win in the second round puts Roccoli third in the standings.

A situation that harks back to the golden days, when MV was as successful in Grand Prix racing as it was in the Campionato Italiano Velocità... Those spectacular battles of the Temporada Romagnola...

By the way, for any fellow Ducatisti, the Panigale is dominating in the Superbike class, with a win this weekend, and Ducati riders first and second in the series.

Cool, Thank You for the great news.
Is he getting another ride in WSS with MV in the next round?

I've been in Misano a few weeks back and some CIV teams including Roccoli were testing. Amazingly fast guys and I will say it again, F3 at the moment is the best supersport bike in the market.

I searched for articles but the news doesn't seem to have made to it to English press. Here's a link to the race highlights from Sundays CIV races, including supersport. Commentating is in Italian, sorry.

As far as I know Roccoli won't be appearing in any more WSS races this year. Hope I'm wrong.

DimSt did you by chance get any pics of Roccoli and his MV on your visit to Misano?
