ok, here's some weirdness for you. as it's summertime, more often than not, i'm leaving my brutale out in the sun. more than once, after it's gotten good and hot, and this is when the bike hasn't been ridden since the day before, i've walked outside to a strong smell of gas and fuel literally dripping from the left side of the bike. If i open the gas tank "POOF" pressure is released and the leak shortly stops.
any thoughts? is this the dreaded plastic connectors needing to be swapped out for metal ones, or maybe something amiss with vent hoses?
help!

Not the plastic fuel hose connectors...your fuel tank vent system is not venting properly. You have an evap system... canister may be contaminated or some other component malfunctioning.

Remove the evap system and I will bet your problem goes away.
